Scàil and Cúchulainn — a Mythical Retelling

    16/08/2025 8:00-9:00PM

Don't miss this extraordinary mythology storytelling event with original live music, artwork and drama.

Foinse presents: Scàil and Cúchulainn — a Mythical Retelling with Indian Kirtan”

Step into a mythic world where Irish legend meets Indian devotion.

This live performance reimagines the local Celtic myth of Scàil and Cúchulainn at

Annascaul Lake, blending the raw emotional power of spoken word storytelling with the

evocative soundscapes of Kirtan — a sacred Indian musical tradition that calls the soul

    home.

Kirtan, known as a spiritual retelling through song, invites the audience to slow down and

reawaken their connection to the divine feminine. The music becomes a bridge — guiding

listeners through inner landscapes of shadow and light, much like the ancient tale itself.

Foinse is a collective of storytellers, musicians, visual artists, and singers from Corca

Dhuibhne, who breathe new life into the ancient Gaelic myths etched into the land around

them. Their immersive performances stir the senses — combining poetry, haunting melodies,

projected artwork, and choral harmonies that echo across time.

Is é an foinse an geata chuig an domhan thíos.
